This is arguably the most well-known and prized theatre piece made by Children and Youth Theatre- Skopje. It is basically our signature piece, since after it was produced, we gained notoriety as a theatre house, in our country, and in the region.

Various objects from everyday country life transform into puppets, in an innovative directorial approach by Bonyo Lungov. The pace of the performance is dictated by the tempo of traditional Macedonian folk music, which in its diversity doesn’t leave much space for speech, and therefore there is none. That is the reason behind the success of the show internationally, it speaks the language of theatre. The five-member cast is perfectly synced, leaving the audience breathless for the most of the performance, and sixty minutes seem to pass in a heartbeat. We must also note, that there is no age limits for the content of the show, so we warmly recommend it to both children and adults.

A Macedonian Story” has won several awards, 9 international, and 3 Grand Prix, for a complete theatrical achievement.
