Giga Mega Fairytale is a contemporary fairytale, inspired by classics.
Four actors, who cannot seem to begin with the show “Pinnochio, because they are missing their lead actor. Therefore, they are compelled to create something on the spot, so the audience wouldn’t leave. They frantically merge a bunch of well known motifs into one new storyline, that is fun, humorous, and educational. One Giga Mega Fairytale.
So Little Red Riding Hood faces the Wolf who does some secret gardening in Grandma’s backyard, and he turns out to be a peaceful new-age vegan wolf, who only wants to help the old lady. But when Grandma arrives, she unknowingly attacks Wolf, showing him her Jiu-Jitsu and Tae- Kwan- Do skills. Then, Wolf decides to look for another story where he wouldn’t be perceived as a villain. He meets the Sleepy (Not Sleeping) Beauty and they end up on a quest for a better storyline.
So throughout the play, the actors compete for producing the best ideas for continuing the story of a new contemporary fairytale.
So kids, and mom and dads too, it is time for new fables, cause we all know the old ones by hearts. And here you will enjoy it, accompanied by lots of music, laughter, love and silly dancing. Our message is one of creativity: Imagination helps us become better people.
