Based on the Astrid Lindgren’s novel Ronia, the Robber’s Daughter

Here comes a new story from the astonishing and world-renowned, Swedish author, Astrid Lindgren. She has already significantly contributed the world heritage of children’s literature with her works such as the widely acclaimed novel, Pippi Longstocking.

This time we enter a completely new world of robbers, mushroom dwarfs, wild forests and adventurous scenery in the story called Ronia, the Robber’s Daughter.

In between the two zealous rival gangs, their children are paving their own way of life. Two kids belonging to different clans of robbers start a whole new adventure. Their story is the one of friendship and a powerful bond of two honest souls.

- Gorjan Miloshevski, dramaturge

Ronja by Astrid Lindgren is indeed the daughter of a robber - she is wild, headstrong and not afraid of anything. Her story is full of action so it came to our mind natural to adapt it into a form of puppet theatre with many very rhythmical and musical sequences. During her growing up, she is experiencing many twists and turns. For such kind of a child tt is natural, that some of her findings will be slightly different from what her parents think...
